Meet Achillea
Our Mission
Achillea is a technology company with expertise in power systems, power electronics, controls, and systems engineering. We bring disruptive innovation to these fields by applying contemporary developments in data analysis, image processing, and artificial intelligence to solve previously untenable problems.
The future of innovation is multidisciplinary, and pursuing it in an efficient manner requires new organizational models. We collaborate across industry, academia, and government laboratories to select the best team for the project—an approach that breaks away from the conventional paradigm of scoping research to fit within a given team’s capabilities and, often, within internal organizational boundaries.
Our strategy is to rapidly prototype and test many concepts, to iterate as needed, and to down-select a few for detailed development. To stay lean, fast, and adaptable, we do not own or operate manufacturing. Instead, we work with our customers to select the manufacturing partners with adequate capability and license the technology to these partners under mutually agreeable terms.
Our name comes from Achillea, (latin: Achillea millefolium) a group of flowering fern-like plants, exhibiting network-like behaviors.
